Child Dedications
Instead of baptism or christening, we hold a Child Dedication ceremony for infants and children. The ceremony is created jointly between the parent(s), minister and director of religious education. The ceremony takes place during a regular worship service. A child dedication seeks to bless the new life in the family, express the parent(s) hopes for the child, and embody the congregation's support for this child and their family.
Child dedications also happen for adopted children regardless of their age.
If you are interested in a child dedication, please contact our minister Rev. Judy Zimmerman [email protected] or our director of religious education Alicia Bhatty [email protected] or call the office at 541.241.6771.
